Sharing is caring!

You can feel the excitement in the air with The Toronto International Film Festival (Tiff) launching in a matter of days.  Shangri-La Toronto, located in the heart of the city and a Hospitality Partner,  has launched a movie-inspired High Tea.

An ode to movies past and present the pastry team led by Head Pastry Chef Calvin Wat has reimagined the traditional tea.   Elevated tiers of nostalgic Canadian movie snacks are accompanied by a choice of eleven premium teas, from traditional black teas (blend of Ceylon and Indian teas) to golden-coloured Tie Guan Yin (originated in 18th century China) or the Shangri-La Signature Blend Black tea.

Served in the very comfortable confines of the beautiful  Shangri-la lobby.  Each tea is served with a flute of champagne, prosecco or a non-alcoholic bubbly.  While you munch and sip, live music serenades your tea experiences.

Guests can expect to titillate their taste buds with a spin on the peanut butter cup and the mars bar, along with honeycomb caramel popcorn and delicious foie gras donuts. Scones are served with a Syrian-inspired fig jam and clotted cream.  Savouries include a hot dog brioche and a Napolean of Nachos, think haute cuisine movie food!

This speciality tea is available through the month of September 2022.  See the full menu here
