Perched on a hilltop, dressed in the colors of the Caribbean – vibrant orange, green and blues, the True Blue Bay Boutique Resort is an amazing sight. The open-air lobby filled with colourful furniture is the first stop before heading to your room.  The resort is deceptive, it appears small, but you soon discover there are 48 rooms, suites, and villas scattered over a lush hilly landscape.

True Blue Bay Resort views from the Bay

This resort located on a bay is surrounded by a marina making it a favourite vacation stop for divers and boating enthusiasts.  There is no beach to speak of, other than the man-made one surrounding the infinity pool.  The resort does provide complimentary shuttles to the beach for guests. Friendly staff are ready to assist with whatever guests may need to make their stay more comfortable.

The property also includes a mini-museum featuring artifacts from Grenada’s original inhabitants – the Arawak Indians.  True Blue Bay Resort is a family-friendly resort, with a casual welcoming ambiance.

Waterfront Bi-level Suite

I’m here for a four-night stay and checked into a bi-level waterfront suite.  The lower level has a walkout balcony just off the sitting room with sofa and TV’s, a kitchenette with a small stovetop, mini -fridge, coffeemakers, toasters, and dishware. The dining area leads to stairs that take you to the upper level.  Here you’ll find a queen-sized bed, wardrobe, and dresser along with doors leading to another walkout balcony.  The bathroom is spacious with shower stall and stocked with Gilchrist & Soames toiletries.

The views from the top floor balcony are stunning and also my favourite place to sit and watch sunsets.

Food and Drink

Dodgy Dock on the waterfront is where guests and locals gather for food and drink each day. No doubt it is the heart of the resort where breakfast, lunch, and dinner is served daily. The menu is varied catering to everyone’s dietary needs from vegan, vegetarians to gluten-free choices. Naturally fish is a mainstay on the menu along with Grenadian dishes, Mexican fare, and American cuisine including burger and fries.

Live music is on offer several nights a week.
